is formatted for children and adults with special needs. This riding program is considered to be therapeutic for the riders who have mental, emotional or physical disabilities. The relationship between the rider and the horse is emphasized, and the rider’s needs are matched with the horse’s abilities.
consists of MIHA and 4H team members who lease and assist rehabilitation of rescued horses in the Equine STAR program by participating in show venues. STAR Trail Blazers
are for individuals who lease and assist in rehabilitation of rescued horses in the Equine STAR program by participating in Community trail riding experiences.
The STAR Sanctuary
covers approximately 40 acres of privately owned trails. It includes three lakes, meadows and tamarack groves. We also host a large Bluebird population.
