Thank YOU for your interest and encouragement!
Equine STAR, our educational horse rescue, is facing relocation and needs your continued support. To donate via PayPal click here. Now for the update:
*All of our adoptable horses have been placed. (See our Congratulations! page.) If you are looking to help a horse, visit Craigslist or websites like Dreamhorse.com. Last year, we had over 330 calls for donated horses that we could not accommodate. Please open your heart and help a neighbor in need.
*We currently have 25 horses who have special needs due to age or health issues. All of our horses have a temporary place to live but some locations need financial assistance to care for the horses. With your support, we would like to continue to provide feed/hay while foster homes provide love.
*100% of your tax deductible donation is used for the horses' care and welfare including medical, feed/hay, equipment maintenance, and utilities. Winter is especially a challenging time for us as each horse is provided with extra rations of grain and hay, heated water, shelter, and many have their own blanket.
*We are not affiliated nor supported by any other animal rescue groups. We do not receive funds from the government, local, state or federal. We ARE supported by people like you, compassionate folks who care about the well being of animals who can not speak for themselves.
*Fundraising is also nescessary to provide financial assistance. Our Online Estate Sale begins January 28. Simply click on the page and see what is offered. Items are sold "as is" and first come first served. All sales are final. Another opportunity to purchase items will be sold on February 19 & 20 at Commerce United Methodist Church, 1155 N. Commerce, Commerce, MI.
*Please search your heart. So many causes need your donated dollars. We appreciate your consideration in helping with our situation and caring for our friends, the horses of Equine STAR...
The Equine STAR Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to providing fair treatment and care for mistreated, unwanted or retired equines through rehabilitation, education and community outreach.
Our vision is to provide a sanctuary, a place of emotional, physical, and spiritual healing for horses--and humans.
Our vision includes programs for disadvantaged and at-risk youth, abused children and adults, and special needs children to come together with rescued, rehabilitated horses for the purpose of healing.
It is our belief that through education and community outreach, the horse has a unique ability to guide us to a quality of life inherent in nature.
